
Shenandoah Joe Coffee Roasters is looking to fill the following positions:
Roastery Manager
Position Summary: This position is responsible for management and effectiveness of coffee production and order fulfillment. Thus, will have to work closely with the production floor and roastery team to fulfill and expedite daily coffee orders (wholesale, retail and website).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage wholesale call list and wholesale orders
- Fulfill and expedite daily orders (wholesale, retail and website)
- Assist in wholesale accounts receivable
- Help address and prioritize wholesale account needs and issues
- Work in QuickBooks: manage wholesale accounts
Requirements/Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the above-mentioned duties successfully.
- 2 years coffee roastery experience
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee and desire to educate others
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and problem solve (think
on your feet)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, MS office, other basic computer tools and financial
fundamentals
- Strong initiative, leadership and self-management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible, with the ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Sensory evaluation and cupping skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Register Staff
Position Summary: The Register Staff is responsible for taking customer order, writing drink tickets for barista.
Duties and Responsibilities: Taking customer orders, with includes coffee, pastries, espresso beverage and coffee beans. The ability to ender orders in cash register quickly and accurately. Writing drink tickets and communicating with barista. Ability to talk to customer about coffee varietals, and other duties as assigned.
Experience: retail or café experience a plus

- Ability to move line quickly, proficient on register
- Desire and ability to be able to learn and talk about coffees and products

Bar-Back
Position Summary: The barback is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly service area. The barback will be responsible for daily cleaning, restocking, dishwashing, bussing and interacting with customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Brewing hot and iced coffee, prepping fruit for smoothies. Ensuring bar area is clean and organized, bussing tables and maintaining the condiment bar, cleaning, including dishwashing, ensuring that adequate inventory levels are maintained and the bar and storage areas are well stocked, and other duties as assigned.
Experience: Café bar experience a plus
